Diving Atlantis Group: Tenerife’s Premier Diving Network

Since 2013, our mission has been to share the volcanic beauty of the Atlantic with the world. What started as a single passion project with the opening of Diving Atlantis in Los Cristianos has grown into the most comprehensive diving network in South Tenerife.

To better serve our divers and reach the island’s most hidden underwater gems, we expanded our family to include Dive Spot in Las Galletas and Ola Diving in Puerto Colon.

From our humble beginnings to becoming a premier PADI Dive Center, our mission has remained the same: to provide safe, unforgettable, and eco-conscious underwater experiences. Whether you are breathing underwater for the first time or exploring deep volcanic reefs, you are not just a client here; you are part of our diving family.

One Team, Three Locations, Seven Languages

What truly sets Diving Atlantis apart is our people. Our team is a diverse group of highly qualified PADI Instructors and Divemasters united by a shared love for the sea. We believe that communication is key to safety and comfort, which is why our staff fluently speaks English, Spanish, German, French, Polish, Italian and Russian.

Our instructors aren’t just guides—they are local experts who know every cavern, wreck, and turtle habitat in Tenerife. With thousands of logged dives and a patient, professional approach, we specialize in tailoring each experience to your skill level. We take pride in our "small group" philosophy, ensuring you get the personal attention you deserve, whether you’re doing a PADI course or a try dive.

FAQs

Yes, all three locations—Diving Atlantis, Dive Spot, and Ola Diving—are fully authorized PADI Dive Centers. We strictly follow PADI’s global safety standards and educational curriculum, ensuring your certifications are recognized worldwide.

Yes! This is one of the best perks of our group. If you buy a multi-dive package, you can split your dives between Diving Atlantis, Dive Spot, and Ola Diving at no extra cost, allowing you to see the full diversity of Tenerife’s marine life.

Yes! If you have a mild prescription, the water actually acts like a magnifying glass, and you will see quite clearly. If you have a strong prescription, we recommend wearing soft contact lenses—they are perfectly safe to wear under a diving mask.

Absolutely! Our instructors are also great underwater photographers. For a small additional fee, we can provide you with high-quality digital photos and videos of your first breath underwater or your encounter with the turtles. It’s the perfect souvenir from your Tenerife holiday!

Absolutely. We pride ourselves on being a truly multilingual team. To ensure your safety and comfort, we provide instruction and briefings in English, Spanish, German, French, Polish, Italian and Russian.

Yes, absolutely! We love welcoming friends and family who want to share the adventure without getting in the water. For an additional 30 euros, observers can join the boat trip, enjoy the coastal views of Tenerife, and be part of the excitement. It’s a great way for non-divers to experience the beauty of the Atlantic from the surface while you explore below.

For a Try Dive, diving course or dive as a certified diver, you simply need to fill out a medical questionnaire that will be sent to you via email. If you can answer «NO» to all health questions, you’re ready to go! However, if you have a pre-existing condition (like asthma or heart issues), you will need a quick check-up and a «fit to dive» note from a doctor. There are medical centers right next to our locations in Los Cristianos, Adeje and Las Galletas that can provide this quickly.

Not at all! Most guests choose the center closest to their hotel. However, if you want to explore different parts of the coastline, you can easily book dives through our group to experience the unique underwater landscapes offered at each of our three locations.

Yes! We offer a convenient pick-up service for our divers staying in the main tourist areas of the South, including Playa de las Américas, Costa Adeje, and Los Cristianos. Just let us know where you are staying when you book.

Our team consists of highly experienced PADI Instructors and Divemasters who have logged thousands of dives in the Canary Islands. We specialize in everything from first-time «Try Dives» to advanced technical specialties like DPV (Underwater Scooters).

Sustainability is at the core of our philosophy. Since 2013, we have promoted respectful wildlife encounters, particularly with Tenerife’s sea turtles and rays. We actively participate in ocean clean-ups and educate our divers on buoyancy control to protect our volcanic reefs.

This is a very important rule in Tenerife! You must wait at least 12 to 18 hours after diving before going to high altitudes (like the Teide volcano) or flying on a plane. This is for your safety to prevent decompression sickness. We recommend planning your Teide trip before your dive or the day after.

One of the best things about having three locations (Los Cristianos, Las Galletas, and Puerto Colon) is that if the waves are too high in one spot, it’s often perfectly calm in another. If the conditions are truly unsafe, we will offer to reschedule your dive for another day or provide a full refund of your deposit.

The Atlantis Diving Group is a network of three premier PADI dive centers in South Tenerife: Diving Atlantis (Los Cristianos), Dive Spot (Las Galletas), and Ola Diving (Puerto Colon). Founded in 2013, we have grown into one of the island’s most trusted names for scuba diving, offering professional training and guided excursions for all levels.

The Atlantic stays beautiful all year round! In the summer, the water is around 24°C, and in the winter, it rarely drops below 19°C. We provide 5mm or 7mm wetsuits to ensure you stay warm and comfortable during your entire underwater adventure.

Just treat it like a day at the beach! Bring your swimwear, a towel, and some sunscreen. We provide all the professional diving equipment, including high-quality wetsuits, masks, and fins. We also have lockers at all three of our centers (Diving Atlantis, Dive Spot, and Ola Diving) where you can safely leave your dry clothes and belongings.
